Directions
From downtown Washington, DC, take the Rock Creek & Potomac Parkway 2.5 miles north to the intersection with Beach Drive. Bear right on Beach Drive, passing through the tunnel and continuing on past the National Zoological Park. Stay on Beach Drive until you reach the first traffic light, Tilden Street. Turn left at the light, cross the bridge over Rock Creek, and Peirce Mill is immediately to the right.

An alternate route from downtown is to head North on Connecticut Avenue and, a few blocks after passing through Cleveland Park, turn right on Tilden Street. Peirce Mill is at the bottom of the hill on the left just before the bridge over Rock Creek.

Peirce Mill can also be reached on foot from the Cleveland Park Metrorail Station. Exit the Metro Station following the stairs to Connecticut Avenue-East, then walk along Connecticut Avenue about two blocks until you reach a small brown sign marking the "Melvin Hazen Trail." Take the half-mile trail downhill into Rock Creek Park. The trail ends at Picnic Grove 1 near the creek; turn left and the mill is one block ahead, just across Tilden Street.
