We are most grateful to the many other individuals who contributed lesser amounts to the restoration project. Fifty-five individuals, many of them members of FOPM who also pay annual membership fees, donated a total of $1900 to the project. In addition to cash donations, we wish to recognize the many in-kind donations of goods and services, valued at more than $10,000, that offset costs we would have otherwise incurred:

Mrs. Barbara McNear – artist’s sketch of Peirce Mill used on notepaper and stationery
Mrs. Randall H. Hagner, Jr. – printing of FOPM stationery
Michael Dogan – making of DVD film on restoration work (on-going)
Pamela Sheary – web site management (on-going)
National Institutes of Health – white oak tree
Robert Silman Associates – substantial reduction in engineers’ billing rates (on-going)
Baird Smith (Quinn Evans Architects) – unbilled professional advisory time (on-going)
Steve Ortado – unbilled time in consultation and demonstrations at mill events (on-going)
Daniel Goggin – web site costs
Jennifer Owens – printing of Case Statement
Stefanie Sandow – postage costs for Advisory Board mailing

The list of contributions would be incomplete without recognizing the many thousands of hours contributed by volunteer members of FOPM. We note especially those who have served since the founding of our organization more than seven years ago and who remain active and involved today: Sheila Ploger, Steve Dryden, Philip Gaudette, Bob Day, Gene Hines, and Richard Abbott. Two other key members include David Lyman and Tom Blackburn, both actively involved in day-to-day operations of FOPM. During the early years, Phyllis Myers and Phil Ogilvie were among the prime movers in launching the Friends of Peirce Mill. Special thanks go to Mrs. Randall H. Hagner, Jr. She has contributed generously of her time, her home as a frequent meeting place for our board, and most importantly assisted in fund raising through her wide circle of contacts in the local philanthropic community.
